Catherine has assisted clients with issues such as delay and disruption, negligent and defective works, termination, and claims arising under statute, on a broad range of projects including toll roads, railways, hospitals, software and gas pipelines. Catherine has extensive experience with all forms of dispute avoidance and resolution.

 

Recent experience
  • Acting for a project consortium in relation to construction phase issues on a new hospital project.

  • Advising a potential equity investor on the project documentation for a major infrastructure project in New South Wales.

  • Advising a major professional services firm in Federal Court proceedings relating to a toll road in Queensland.

  • Acting for the respondent party to a class action in the Federal Court of Australia, brought by a group of investors who claimed to have suffered loss as a result of statements in a product disclosure statement.

  • Assisting the head contractor to pursue complex claims in relation to the Tasmanian National Broadband Network rollout.

  • Advising an equity investor on the project documentation for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

  • Advising a major resources company on issues arising on port and rail expansion projects in Western Australia.
